Troop 1086 Lock-In

Lock-In Fun and Games

Every year in February our troop hosts an all-night lock-in for our Scouts. (And a few lucky adults!)

Our charter organization, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, graciously allows us to hold the event at their school. It’s perfect… The basement works great for food and movies. Right above us is the gym, which always comes in handy.

This year, we put most of the lock-in planning responsibility on our Scouts. As usual, they didn’t disappoint. No one went hungry with all of the pizza, snacks, and cookies. As a bonus, we had some cake left over from our Court Of Honor earlier that evening. Needless to say, no one left hungry.

In addition to the food, they had several Scouts bring games, we had lots of movies, and they spent MANY hours burning off steam in the gym. Honestly, I don’t know where they found the energy!

There was some down-time, which included a few naps. In fairness, however, it didn’t last long. The guys stayed up most of the night and always found something to keep them busy.
