The following is information about a Merit Badge Skill Center Day hosted by our Council…

A fun one-day class that will help you complete requirements for one of these merit badges. The teachers and gear will be provided, and you will work together with the teachers on the merit badges.

Classes will be taught by National and Council Certified Angling Instructors.

The merit badge will be taught in a series of rotating sessions on different topics. You will be signed off for the requirements that you complete.

Requirements include catching a fish. We cannot guarantee you will do that on this day, but we will give you the opportunity. Visit these links to view the requirements:

The cost for the day is $20. This fee includes lunch, tying two flies for fly fishing, program materials, and a patch.

Space will be limited to 100 participants for Fishing and/or Fly Fishing and 100 participants for Fish and Wildlife Management. Sign up early!

Details:

  • 8:30 AM: Registration
  • 9:00 – 3:15: Classes
    (A foil-pack fish, sides, and dessert lunch will be served around noon. Parents may sign up and pay for lunch at the registration site listed below.)
  • 3:30 PM: Scout pick-up
