Merit Badge Pamphlets Are Now Available Online

In the past, merit badge pamphlets needed to be purchased, They can now be downloaded for FREE form the Scouting America site.

While information about each merit badge has been available online for a while, the merit badge pamphlets were only available for purchase, either online or through one of the Scout Shops.

That is…until now.

The merit badge pamphlets are now available for FREE online! Simply go to the Scouting America Merit Badge page, select the desired merit badge, and click the button to download the pamphlet. This will give you access to the PDF version of the actual printed version of the pamphlet.

Merit Badge Pamphlet vs Requirements

Please keep in mind that the requirements for each merit badges are NOT included in the pamphlets. The pamphlets are simply there to help the Scouts…both while preparing for their merit badge and while going through the requirement with their counselor.

The actual merit badge requirements are listed separately. Fortunately, they are conveniently located on the same page referenced above.

Merit badge requirements are occasionally updated, so be sure to check the page when staring your merit badge to make sure you have the latest list of requirements.

Prefer A Printed Version?

The printed pamphlets are still available for purchase. Additionally, our troop “library” has numerous copies of most merit badge pamphlets, and the Scouts can borrow them as needed.
