Pioneering – Chariot Race

Our final pioneering-themed meeting of the month challenged the Scouts to construct “chariots” using some of the knots they learned.

For this week’s meeting, the troop continued their focus on “Pioneering” by learning how to use their knot-tying skills to construct flagpoles

The troop’s theme for this month is Pioneering. For our first meeting, the Scouts built A-Frame Tripods strong enough to hold the Scouts!

This past weekend our Scouts competed in the annual Klondike Derby event. The weather was chilly, but they didn’t let that slow them down!

We had a full agenda at our last troop meeting, learning about the 3 branches of government, and stretcher techniques for First-Aid.

It’s time once again for Troop 86’s annual Chili Dinner and Silent Auction! Your support is greatly appreciated!

For one of our Fall camping trips, our troop spent the weekend at one of our favorite spots… Giant City State Park.

This year, our troop collected over 3,500 items donated by the residents of Collinsville for this year’s Scouting For Food event!

Bert’s Chuck Wagon is graciously partnering with Scouts BSA Troop 86 in an upcoming fundraiser to help support our troop!

For our 2022 Summer Camp, we took the troop to West Virginia to the James C. Justice Scout Camp at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
